Set within the Blue Horse Stables in Tabanan, this modern family home was envisioned as a peaceful retreat, where daily life unfolds gently against the backdrop of open pastures and horses grazing nearby.

I was engaged for the developed interior design, lighting, and procurement—guiding the transformation from striking steel and concrete architecture into a harmonious, soulful sanctuary.
With its bold, masculine frame as the starting point, I softened the architecture by painting the steel in a gentle blue-grey hue, shifting the energy toward warmth and calm. From there, I refined the interior architecture, easing the flow, softening edges, and ensuring that each space felt connected, welcoming, and serene.
Expansive views were maximized, with additional picture windows framing the surrounding landscape and opening the home to the pasture. Inside, a wood-clad cube anchors the home as its quiet heart, while every room is designed for both connection and rest: a generous kitchen for lively gatherings, a pool lounge with deep sofas for long afternoons, and a cocoon-like home office painted in a luscious dark blue.

Soft, balanced lighting, custom-built furniture, wall niches, serene palettes, and subtle touches of brass and gold layer the interiors with understated luxury—never loud, always harmonious. Details throughout reflect the client’s passions: equestrian motifs nod to her love for horses, while a chosen artwork of a temple roof and bird speaks of freedom and spirit.

What made this project truly special was the trust and openness of my clients. They embraced my holistic vision, navigated the challenges of building in Bali with patience and courage, and treated the process as a shared journey. Together, we created not just a house, but a soulful sanctuary—a joyful, peaceful home for their family and the animals they love.
