As part of the Blue Horse Estate, this guest wing was intended as a serene retreat for friends and family visiting from around the world.
Engaged for the developed interior design, lighting, sourcing, and procurement, I set out to create a space that feels both intimate and refined. Though fully independent, it flows seamlessly from the main residence—echoing the same nuanced tones and understated luxury that bring a calm, soulful rhythm to the entire estate.
Soft curves counterbalance the home’s strong architectural lines: a rounded sofa and oval dining table expand the sense of space while inviting connection.
Every element was designed with intention. Bespoke furniture in natural materials, velvety textures, and subdued, layered lighting soften the architecture and infuse warmth. In the bedroom, I designed the wardrobe to wrap around the bed like a cocoon—freeing up the walls for expansive windows on all sides. This not only opens the room to views of the garden and pasture but also allowed me to carve out a cozy reading nook, embraced by a glass corner. The bathroom shifts toward a lush, jungle-inspired mood, with custom jade tiles and a lava stone basin bringing tactile richness and grounding beauty. Where possible, I shaped the interior architecture with integrated, built-in furniture that flows seamlessly from the structural shell—enhancing its lines while reinforcing a sense of calm, coherence, and continuity.
The result is a private yet connected sanctuary—an elegant extension of the estate where loved ones can arrive, unwind, and feel at home in a space that is timeless, soulful, and deeply welcoming.
